SUMMARY The aim of this study is to investigate the development of moral reasoning of children on the basis of the theory of Kohlberg. The study consists of two main studies, using different methods. In the first study using hypothetical dilemmas Kohlberg, Form A, a total of 128 Korean and British children aged 7 to 16 years participated in order to study the development of moral stages, use of moral guidelines, differences in the questions and answers chosen, unscorable the criteria of the judgments of Kohlberg.
